Arts & Sciences Sharing

Today marks the beginning of our Arts & Science Music & Movement period.  Students in grades 1-4 will be spending an hour a day (Mon- Thurs) for eleven (11) sessions.

Offerings include guitar, Choir, Drums, Ukulele, Sing & Play, Handbells to Harmonica and Musical Theater.  This is a wonderful opportunity to expose kids to music and rhythm and instruments, even if they already play or sing.  Be sure to ask your student(s) how Arts & Sciences is going.

Mark your calendars for March 9, 2:20 PM when our musical aficionados will be sharing their learning with you!

Compassionate Communication Continues

Please come!

to the second of 7 workshops

Compassionate Communication in the Home

Achieve the Quality of Connection You Would Like with Your Children and Others

Discover the Beauty and Potential in a Language of Feelings and Needs with Jeff and Traci Bushnell

Join us to study a way of communicating that effectively integrates thought, language, and presence. During the second workshop for families, we will continue our two-part focus on Compassionate Communication “Basics”. We will begin by highlighting the four key communication steps described during the first workshop, and then deeply explore the second four steps of the Compassionate Communication process. Participants will help select the topics for the upcoming five workshops!

You will learn how to listen with empathy and how to deliver the four important parts in a language of compassion through which everyone’s needs can be met to the greatest extent possible from a place of natural giving, rather than from a place of fear, shame, guilt, obligation, or hope for a reward.

*based in Dr. Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication (NVC)*
