The Share A Toy boxes are coming......

Our school will be participating in Share-a-Gift again this year. Share-a-Gift is an annual, all-volunteer toy collection and distribution holiday project encompassing the Boulder Valley Schools area. Last  year over 600 households (1600 boys and girls, ages birth to 14) received these community donations. To be successful, Share-a-Gift needs thousands of high quality, new and used toys, games, books, and puzzles. School collections are the biggest source of toys for Share-a-Gift. This collection allows children to meaningfully participate in gift giving by sharing their own gently used or new toys with less fortunate children in Boulder county. Toys may be dropped off in the Share-a-Gift box in our school beginning the Monday after Thanksgiving, November 30, through Wednesday, December 16th. Thanks for sharing with your community. If you would like to volunteer to help with this worthwhile project, please go to

Calendar Change

Kindly change the date of the March 2016 Council meeting (on your calendars) from March 17th to March 31st of 2016. This change will allow us to offer Council on a night when our teachers have not been conferencing throughout the day. Thanks so much!

"Most Likely", a movie endorsed by BVSD & PEN

Attached is a flyer for the movie Most Likely To Succeed which is being shown at Casey Middle School November 4th and Louisville Middle on November 12th.

Most Likely To Succeed is the best film ever done on the topic of school — both its past and its future. The film inspires its audiences with a sense of purpose and possibility, and is bringing school communities together in re-imagining what our students and teachers are capable of doing. After seeing this film, you’ll never look at school the same way again….

Fish Outgrows Tank

Does anyone have a 20 gallon fish tank with a cover?   The beautiful (and apparently chubby) fish, Angel, in Peter’s room has outgrown her tank.

Ghosts, Goblins and Rock Stars....Oh My!

The Fall Dance was a rocking scene of costumes, dancers, treats, music, and performances. A great time was had by all.  Kudos and thanks to Paige & Debbie and their band of volunteers for creating another wonderful and community-building event.
