Horizons Anti-Bias Conversation with Vernon Jones

Questions to Consider from Horizons Anti-Bias Conversation with Vernon Jones
The Horizons Equity, Diversity and Belonging Committee was grateful to Vernon Jones for facilitating an important anti-bias conversation on Tuesday evening. The questions below stimulated thoughtful and meaningful discussion.
1) Who am I? Who am I to you? Who are you? Who are you to me? How do you see me? How do I see you?
2) Are our spaces reflective of our belief in the equal humanity of all people and the necessity of all voices? What do we do intend to ensure that all people are welcome?
3) What is wrong in our house, locally, nationally, and globally that must be righted? What is right in our house, locally, nationally, and globally that we must defend?
4) How will I serve, support, and stand in solidarity with you? How will you serve, support, and stand in solidarity with me?
If you weren’t able to join or would like the chance to talk further, Horizons Community Group and EDB will be hosting a recap and debrief discussion. Date and details to follow soon.
